Eireann Murphy is an educator and performer who currently teaches low brass at the Wilder-Dietz School of Music. A highly active teacher throughout the region, she also teaches low brass and music appreciation at McHenry County College and maintains a thriving private studio spanning Central and Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

In tandem with her teaching, Eireann is a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate, University Fellow, and Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Mead Witter School of Music. She holds a Master of Music degree from UW-Madison and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. As a clinician and soloist, she has taught masterclasses and performed at universities and conferences across the Midwest. 

An avid chamber musician and versatile collaborator, Eireann performs with the Robin Brass Quintet, an ensemble invited to compete internationally at the Philip Jones International Brass Ensemble Competition in the United Kingdom. Her expansive ensemble experience spans a diverse array of orchestras, wind bands, and groups throughout the state.
